Meet the Team
Get to know our dynamic HALL Structured Finance team in our “Meet the Team” series.
Meet our Loan Officer Brian Mitchell. Brian has five years of commercial real estate experience at HALL Structured Finance (HSF). He began his career as an intern for HSF during his summer, while obtaining a master’s degree. As Loan Officer Brian’s primary focus is originating new loans with an emphasis in underwriting and financial analysis.
1. What university did you go to and what was your degree in?
- I went to Texas A&M and earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Master of Real Estate from Mays Business School.
2. What is your favorite movie or tv show?
- May favorite movie is A Quiet Place.
3. Do you currently have, or have you ever had a pet?
- I grew up with three dogs (Mitch, Beau & Lexie) which were all rescued. A toddler is enough work for us now, but we are excited for one down the road and love dogs.
4. What are your hobbies outside of work?
- Some of my hobbies include golf, college football, fishing, the lake, snow skiing and scuba diving.
5. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
- To work hard now so that you can do what you want later.
6. Who inspires you or has been a mentor in your life?
- My parents have shown me that family is the most important and how to have a successful career with a healthy work life balance.
7. Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.
- I hate beer; rather have a mixed drink or wine!
8. What’s your favorite thing about Texas or an area you’ve lived in?
- I would say Bay fishing on the coast.
9. What is your favorite memory from working at HALL?
- There are a lot of memories, our Napa Planning Meeting, the weekly Happy Hours, our Christmas Parties, and in general just cutting loose with colleagues.
