Get to know our dynamic HALL Structured Finance team in our “Meet the Team” series.

Meet our Financial Analyst Kelsey Clay. Kelsey joined HALL Structured Finance (HSF) in 2021. Her primary responsibility is providing support through underwriting and structuring loan originations for construction, acquisition and bridge loans, with an emphasis on the hospitality and multifamily sectors.

1. What university did you go to and what was your degree in?

• • The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business – Hook ’em!

2. What is your favorite movie or tv show?

• • Gladiator. It’s a classic.

3. Do you currently have, or have you ever had a pet?

• • I have a one-year-old chocolate lab named Gator.

4. What are your hobbies outside of work?

• • Snow skiing, training with my dog, hunting and anything outdoors!

5. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

• • You have to invest. Not only in things that make you money, but also in ideas that make your mind rich, people who keep you grounded, and in individual happiness and growth.

6. Who inspires you or has been a mentor in your life?

• • I am inspired by all entrepreneurs. I admire self-motivated individuals who seek solutions, initiate change, and have the willingness to take risks. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work at an innovative company that embodies these pursuits.

7. Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.

• • Slowly but surely, I’m working towards obtaining my pilot’s license and currently have about 20 hours of flight time in a Piper Warrior.

8. What’s your favorite thing about Texas or an area you’ve lived in?

• • The TEXAS LONGHORNS – I love driving down to Austin for home games during the fall. I also enjoy South and West Texas wildlife.

9. What is your favorite memory from working at HALL?

• • The first-time seeing Hall Park – putting the magnitude and growth of our multifaceted company into a physical perspective. I am motivated by the unique role HSF plays as one component of the many large and impactful things Hall Group is endeavoring.
