Senior Loan Officer

Hall Structured Finance (HSF) is seeking to add a Senior Loan Officer with 5 to 10 years of real estate and/or banking experience to its team and to help achieve its business goals in originating new loans. HSF provides construction, and bridge financing to real estate owners and developers on real estate projects located throughout the United States. HSF’s loan program emphasis is providing 1st mortgage construction financing to the multifamily and hotel sectors, and 1st mortgage bridge financing program targeted towards hotel projects. HSF has approximately $1 billion in loans and growing.

Prior professional experience should include responsibility for sourcing and identifying new loan and/or real estate opportunities, preparation of internal memorandums for presentation and review by senior executives containing recommendations, underwriting, due diligence findings, and financial analysis in connection therewith.

 

Job duties / Responsibilities: Successful candidates will work side by side with HSF’s senior management, asset managers, financial analysts and compliance officers in sourcing, underwriting, preparing, and recommending loan opportunities to HSF’s Executive Committee.

 

Specific duties will include:

  • Sourcing loan opportunities from the mortgage brokerage and real estate development community,
  • Negotiating term sheets, letters of intent, and loan documents
  • Performing due diligence and loan underwriting including risk analysis, supply/demand analysis, competitive property analysis, identification and quantification of local demand generators, and sponsorship teams,
  • Preparing financial projections and analysis related to real estate projects securing prospective new loans.
  • Preparation of comprehensive written internal loan recommendations for presentation and review by HSF’s Executive Committee.

Job Location: Downtown Dallas, Texas

 

Education and/or Experience: Degree in real estate, finance, and/or accounting.

 

Competency: Ability to balance varied projects, and possess strong analytical, research, verbal and written communication skills. Successful candidates will need to be proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point applications. Experience using Salesforce or other CRM programs a plus.
