Get to know our dynamic HALL Structured Finance team in our “Meet the Team” series.

Meet our Vice President of Capital Markets Mike Canning. Mike joined HALL Structured Finance in 2015. He focuses primarily on capital markets activities for HALL Structured Finance (HSF) as well as HALL Group’s real estate holdings, along with various other activities within HALL Group. Prior to joining HALL Structured Finance, he held various analytical and project management roles at GE Real Estate. Mike holds a BA in Economics and Business from Virginia Military Institute.

1. What is your favorite food?

• • My favorite food is pizza.

2. Do you have a pet and what is their name?

• • We have an 8-year-old Vizsla named Rigby.

3. What is your favorite sport to watch, and which team do you root for?

• • Hockey and my favorite team is the Dallas Stars.

4. What are your hobbies outside of work?

• • Anything outside, including golfing, hunting, and fishing!

5. Where is your favorite place to travel?

• • My favorite place to travel is Europe.

6. What’s your favorite podcast or book?

• • The Hardcore History podcast by Dan Carlin.

7. Which movie have you seen recently or what are you watching on Netflix?

• • With a 5-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy at home, we watch A LOT of Frozen and Cars.

8. What do you enjoy about the work you do?

• • I enjoy getting to meet so many new and unique people.

9. What’s your favorite type of HALL Wines?

• • Rosé all day!
