Shelby Abeyta

Ms. Abeyta serves as the director of communications at HALL Group. She brings more than 22 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing and branding specializing in the construction, development, and non-profit sectors.

Prior to joining HALL Group, she oversaw communications efforts for Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute where she led a communications and marketing team tasked with supporting the local, state and national public policy and implementation efforts of the 100+ person organization. She also served as campaign director for Okay to Say, directing all aspects of the award-winning Texas mental health campaign.

Ms. Abeyta spent 17 years with Skanska USA, most recently as head of communications for its Central U.S. region. In that role, she led communications, branding and public relations efforts in Texas, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. She also launched the company’s national Building What Matters campaign and created its crisis communications program.

She holds a bachelor of science degree from Lipscomb University and a corporate communications certificate from Cornell University. In 2012, the Nashville Business Journal recognized Ms. Abeyta in their 40 Under 40 list. She is a current trustee for the Dallas Rotary Foundation and a past member of the Rotary Club of Dallas Board of Directors.
